Hook: Video on Holocaust and WWII. Remember or The Nightmare of the Holocaust .
Learning Activity (Graphic Organizer, Cooperative Learning, Technology): Jigsaw: Three groups- each get a book- research- switch up groups into share out sessions.
Use of Laptops.

Hook: Poem (No one left to speak for me ) then lead into Talk with Survivor.

They will have a press conference with a Holocaust survivor.
Artifact:

 5. Empathy: Assume the role of a newspaper writer in a picked area during the time period. Come up with News reporter questions. Ask the survivor questions in role. Add podcast to blog.

Hook: The Holocaust: Humanity at it's worst then have a Document from Hitler to introduce to the students. Showing them how to analyze the document with an interesting document.

There will be documents at each table from each place that students are stationed. Each table has a category. They will rotate in groups to look at the documents.

The documents worksheet attached to wiki and the new documents that they have found.

Hook: propaganda from WWII. They will each get a poster on a card at the start of class. the activity will be explained. They will read the info on the back. Find their matching propaganda partner(s) and discuss the poster while filling in the worksheet. They will then share out after their thoughts when the time is up. (think, pair, share)
